About

We read the fine print so you don't have to.

Critic Farm started from a simple frustration: car insurance requirements, pricing, and quality vary enormously by state, and almost nobody explains why in plain language. We're not an insurance company — we're an independent research and review team, and we're upfront that our matching tool is how the lights stay on. Read the full story in how it works.

What we won't do

  • Publish a "top pick" that's actually the highest-paying affiliate.
  • Invent a precise statistic to make a review sound more authoritative than it is.
  • Gate a basic calculator behind a phone number.

What we will do

  • Tell you plainly when we're compensated for a referral.
  • Flag it when we're not fully confident in a data point.
  • Update state pages when laws actually change.
